Marin Solar Recognized as a Bay Area Green Business

September 1, 2007 (San Rafael, CA) Marin Solar is pleased to announce that it has been awarded certification by the Marin Green Business Program for its efforts in reducing operating impacts on Marin’s and the planet’s environment.

The Bay Area Green Business Program, which has certified over 210 businesses in Marin County and over 1,000 in the Bay Area, recognizes businesses that comply with all environmental regulations and conserve energy, water and other materials, reduce waste and prevent pollution. “These businesses help protect valuable natural resources by doing the right thing as part of their everyday business operations,” said Dana Armanino, Marin Green Business Program Coordinator. “We encourage all certified businesses to proudly display the Green Business logo so that customers can ‘close the loop’ by shopping ‘green’,” said Armanino.

Roy Phillips, founder and president of Marin Solar, adds, “Our commitment to the earth and its resources drives my passion for what I do on a daily basis. It means a great deal to me to be in a business that provides renewable energy, and it’s only fitting that we follow this commitment in everything we do. Everybody at Marin Solar is devoted to this vision of a cleaner, healthier planet.”

Marin Solar qualified after a detailed review of its energy, water, solid waste and recycling practices by the staff of the County of Marin’s Green Business Program. For more information on the Marin and Bay Area Green Business Programs, visit www.maringreenbusiness.org.
